Dear Dad,
Today was the first snow of January and more is on the way tonight. This morning, Niki and I had a small breakfast and some tea with honey. We walked out our front door, took a walk down our street and this is what we saw. Sorry you died before you could see me married and happy in Tennessee, living peacefully with Niki and our two cats. Sorry you didn’t live long enough to see it. Maybe next time.
Love,
your son Rhio

thank you everyone, and especially aaron for posting these images with the text.
This intimate and poignant letter to your dad accompanied by the serene and peaceful images touch my heart.
I love these images Rhio, and the sentiment that goes with them. Touching and beautiful.
Wonderful.
Your photos are beautiful! The letter, so touching. I could have written the same letter to my mother. She died before she could see me truly happy. You have inspired me to put together a few photos to send to her. Thank you.
It’s always a pleasure to view the world through your eyes and to expereince winter from someone else’s perspective. Another soul that isn’t shy about venturing out into the cold. Very nice indeed.
