THROUGH THE WINDOW by Manish Chauhan -Part two

“Shot through the window of a fourth storey apartment in Baroda, these photographs capture decisive moments when objects, people and nature organise themselves aesthetically.

Dogs circle in an impromtu dance as the dust rises in the air, a tree in full blossom bends over to appreciate the ripples in a lake, and a pigeon stretches it’s wings against a concrete backdrop.

Despite its unchoreographed play of lines, colours and patterns, each photograph creates impressive formal and compositional variety; it reveals the neighbourhoods fleeting moods and rhythms.

Both form and context meet as Manish Chauhan sees through the window” Priya M Jaradi -National University of Singapore
