Take me away to a place that hums with
The same confidence that streams through me, running
From my toes to my wavy hair. I am searching,
And the track is one that has a finish line, I know, yet
I am not close enough to see it.

Take care you, for you are on the same journey,
Only you are a few paces behind me and your mascara is
Streaming down your cheeks.
Take the time to reset and replay the song that moves
Your bones in a happy rhythm.

I will find that place to call home soon – I think the
Chimney there is full of calm and my feet are full of
The warmth I desire when I open that front door.
How is it that the sun is shining and
No one around me understands the questions I am asking?
I will get there soon, and so will your wet cheeks.
