THE ENHANCED LIFE OF PUDDLES by Claire Gardner Chandler

Reflections and shadows   almost add an extra dimension to the part of reality the photographer has chosen.

So when it rains, I look for large puddles and am entranced by the upside-down view of buildings and trees which these pools of water offer up.

And if it’s windy, there’s the additional fascination of the effect of ripples which change the reflection into an impressionist view of the world.

The inverted reality of reflections also  gives fairly ordinary scenes something a little special and reminds the photographer and viewer of the interest of the world around us.

At least I hope this happens when you look at the selection that aamora has made of my puddle shots.
